The exhibit space will be open during normal working hours at Grand Living Realty Monday– Friday.                                       Any exception must be approved by the Curator.

Exhibition Space Agreement

 

TERMS

1.  A non-refundable exhibit fee of $200 for a two-month exhibition is due two months in 

advance of the show opening.  

2.  The length of this show is approximately 2 months. The installation of artwork and tags will take place after 5:00 PM according to designated schedule and the opening reception will be the following Sunday.

3.  Artwork must be presentation quality.  Two-Dimensional artwork must have a back wire for hanging (no sawtooth).  Sculptural three-dimensional artwork must be stable and will be displayed on the hallway shelves.  Floor easels are not allowed. 

4.  At their discretion the Expressions team’s goal is for tasteful and cohesive exhibitions and reserves the right to refuse non-quality art, unstable sculptures, or improperly wired artwork.

5.  Artists are responsible for the installation of their artwork.  Consider bringing a helper. Artists may display Bio information in addition to their artworks. Curators will be on hand to advise installing and placement of the artwork. Expressions gallery supplies a wall hanging system and ladders will be available for your use.

6.  Artists will provide wall tags for their art, using standard business card size paper (2 x 3½ inches) for each piece of artwork at time of installation. Each tag must include: title of work, name of artist, the medium, and selling price. For group shows, wall tag appearance and style must be similar for all artists in the show.

7.  Artists must provide two copies of an inventory of artwork displayed in this exhibit. Inventory must include title of work, name of artist, medium and selling price.  One copy is given to the Curator, and one copy is filed at the front desk.

8.  Artists will provide a digital show flyer, bio and at least two examples of artwork for inclusion on the Expressions Gallery website.

9.  The Exhibition will be open during normal working hours at Grand Living Realty Monday –Friday. All changes to a scheduled time or date must be pre-approved by the Curator.

10.  Artist will comply with terms of the Agreement and will self-insure for any damages that may occur during installation, while artwork is on display or during removal.

11. No photos of artwork are allowed to be taken without permission from artists.

 

SALES

1.  The front desk will encourage potential buyers to contact artists directly. If the front desk handles a sale they will accept checks only. Checks will be payable to artists.  Selling price is equal to amount recorded on art inventory and wall tag.  Artists assume sales tax responsibility.

2.  The buyer may take work at the time of sale. The gallery/front desk will notify the artist and curator of a sale.

3.  Artists must replace removed/sold artwork with another piece and update inventory with

replacement information.

4.  The Gallery does not charge commission on Artist sales.

5.  Gallery will give the artist their check for artwork sold when most convenient for both.  

PROMOTION

1.  Expressions Gallery will promote the exhibition through its sizeable email list and website.

2.  Grand Living Realty may promote it on their Facebook page. 

3.  Artists will promote their exhibition through available avenues including various online social media and news organizations, such as Facebook, Next Door, artist personal email, various art organizations, Ormond Beach and Palm Coast Observer, Flagler/Palm Coast News Tribune, Daytona Beach News Journal, or Flagler County Buzz..

 

OPENING EVENT

1.  The reception begins at 1:00 PM and ends at 3:30 PM on a Sunday following the art installation.

2.  Artists will provide beverages, snacks, and tableware for serving. Beverages and snacks will be set up in the reception room at the rear of the building. The patio area is available when the weather permits.  

3.  Artists must clear and clean the reception room afterward.

Expressions Art Gallery is located inside the Grand Living Realty Building at

Operating Hours – Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM. To prevent disruption in the realty office during their working hours, Expressions plans to do most tasks after the office closes for the day.  Request an appointment with the Curatorial Team for any activity where artist needs access outside of scheduled operating hours.

Exhibition Space Agreement

 

EXHIBITION SCHEDULE AND DUE DATE INFORMATION

 

1.  Exhibition is available for viewing for approximately 2 months. The viewing is available Monday through Friday from 9AM to 5PM.  Note that holidays during the span of this show may result in more days when the office could be closed.

 

2.  Exhibition Fee is due 2 months prior to opening.  It is a flat amount of $200 per show

regardless of the number of artists participating.  Pay to the order of Hanneke Jevons. 

 

3.  Exhibition Flyer is due 6 weeks prior to opening.  Format JPG.

5.  Exhibition installation work begins at 5:00 pm according to the designated schedule prior to the opening date.  No artwork can be dropped off prior.

 

6.  The opening reception is on Sunday after the show installation from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. Artists will coordinate early arrival time with the Curator to set up food and drinks for serving.  Artists must clear and clean up after their opening reception.

 

7.  Art take-down is according to the Exhibition Gallery schedule. The artist coordinates the exact time with the Curatorial Team.  All artwork must be removed at this time.
